Starting the Siri Eyes Free mode is simple: owners just have to connect their iPhone, or similar device, with the MyLink radio via Bluetooth, then pair with the system and use the steering wheel voice activation button to start and finish sessions with Siri in Eyes Free mode.
In the aforementioned Chevrolet Aveo and Cruze vehicles equipped with MyLink technology, owners can use Siri in Eyes Free mode to, for example, make voice-activated, hands-free calls; play songs from their iTunes libraries; compose and send messages; access their calendar and add appointments.
Susan Docherty, president and managing director at Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe, commented: ‘We are really excited about the fact that Chevrolet will be one of the first car brands to offer Siri Eyes Free integration in Europe.’
Docherty further added: ‘Safe, easy, reliable and portable connectivity is a top priority for our customers, and Siri complements MyLink’s existing capabilities to help deliver an incredible driving experience.’
