Kia pledges participation in Red Nose Day

Joining a large host of other supporting partners, Kia is aiming to get both their customers and employees involved in a series of activities to raise as much money as possible for this year’s Red Nose Day, which takes place on 15 March 2013.

For the big day, Kia has already confirmed a series of fund-raising events including comedy nights, golf days and marathon running days, all of which will be hosted at Kia dealerships across the UK.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Red Nose Day which has raised over £600 million to help transform people’s lives both in the UK and Africa.

For 2013 the charity will once again be appealing to people nationwide to ‘Do Something Funny For Money’, by arranging a series of fun events to raise funds.

On top of this, the Kia UK dealership network will be turning their creative hands to turning an old trade-in vehicle into something appealing enough to be auctioned for charity.

‘Pimp My Part-Ex’ will see the service departments working hand-in-hand with the sales team to turn a beast into a beauty, ready for auction on 5th March 2013 in conjunction with Comic Relief and British Car Auctions (BCA) at their auction site in Blackbushe, Camberley.

For a previous Red Nose Day event, Kia successfully auctioned off a special edition model of the previous-generation Rio supermini with a custom Red Nose-themed paint job.

The Kia Rio has been one of the most popular cars in the Kia range. The current-generation model has recently been named the Best Supermini in the Association of Scottish Motoring Writer’s Car of the Year Awards.

The current Kia Rio range is available now from £9,995, coming with a choice of four engines and two body styles. It’s also able to emit as little as 85g/km of CO2, making it exempt from UK road tax and ensuring low running costs.

This year Kia will also encourage their UK customers to visit their local Kia Dealership and there ‘Do Something Funny for Money’.

New and used Kia models are currently sold in Britain at Perrys Kia Dealerships based in Burnley, Preston and Rotherham.
