The latest Ford Kuga, available to order for UK customers right now, was given a maximum five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP crash tests last year.
The Kuga was also one of 36 vehicles available in the European market which the safety body Euro NCAP tested and published results for during last year.
This week, Euro NCAP has decided to give special recognition to those vehicles tested last year which performed highly in each of the four individual marking criteria, which includes adult occupant protection, child occupant protection, and pedestrian protection and safety assist systems.
Amongst those highlighted, the Ford Kuga was the one chosen vehicle regarding outstanding safety performance in the small off-road 4×4 category.
The new Ford Kuga features many safety gadgets which come standard even on the most basic specification, the Zetec Model. The compact SUV includes a Hill Start Assist, and a sensor-based blind spot checker which works in conjunction with an Active Parking Assist for parallel parking manoeuvres.
Over equipment which comes standard on the new Kuga includes fold-flat seats, cruise control and Ford SYNC technology. The latter feature allows users to connect their mobile phones and MP3 players by operating voice-operated commands alone.
Ford SYNC also includes an Emergency Assist programme, which can alert a local authority of a driver’s position in case an accident should ever occur, which also leaves passengers stuck or unconscious.
These are just some of the exciting features customers can benefit from when choosing the new Ford Kuga, which is sold in three trim levels in total with Titanium and Titanium X following the basic Zetec trim.
First deliveries of the new Ford Kuga begin in February 2013, when the SUV will also be available to buy from Perrys Ford Dealerships located in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Prices for the Ford Kuga range are set in a region between £20,895 and £29,795.
