The move comes after figures from The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) highlighted that younger drivers are being put off car servicing to save money.
Just Add Fuel is Peugeot’s way of helping drivers to save money. Young drivers especially can take advantage of Just Add Fuel by covering their motoring costs, servicing and insurance in one fixed monthly payment.
Peugeot has added the 208 VTi 1.0-litre 68bhp model to the list of cars eligible for Just Add Fuel. The manufacturer also points out that the car is capable of an impressive 65.7mpg, with CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km.
That means drivers are exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) and the Congestion Charge, making it a wise, cost-effective investment to those that want an affordable car for their needs.
Neil Moscrop, Director of Sales at Peugeot, said: “The figures recently published by the SMMT offer the latest indication that young drivers are now, more than ever, feeling the financial challenge of owning a car. As insurance costs continue to increase, servicing is wrongly being seen as a ‘luxury’ many young drivers simply can’t afford.”
“Just Add Fuel gives young drivers the opportunity to buy a brand new Peugeot and cover all the major motoring costs, servicing and insurance in particular, in one single fixed monthly payment, eliminating the worry of unexpected costs.”
Just Add Fuel first launched in 2011, and has been described as ‘inflation-proof’ by the manufacturer. The package can be tailored to people’s specific needs and requirements.
A new Peugeot 208 VTi 1.0 litre 68bhp is available from £9,995.
