More than 200 of these positions will be supported by the governments Regional Growth Fund, with the company already looking for production operators at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands.
£370million worth of investment is being pumped into Solihill which will include the installation of a new aluminium body shop, tailored for the all-new Range Rover.
Paint-application technologies, trim assembly, warehousing and Jaguar Land Rover’s first customer handover centre will also be upgraded as part of the company’s growth scheme.
Jaguar Land Rover has spent the last two years ambitiously recruiting to help inspire global growth. The company now employs more than 25,000 people internationally.
The news comes as Land Rover announces that it has sold more cars in the UK than ever before, up by 36 per cent. The company’s overall performance in the UK also shot up by 24 per cent – a record for the manufacturer.
The Range Rover Evoque has been highlighted as a massive sales success for the company, as the car surpassed the 100,000 sales mark within its first full year.
