The new year is approaching and with it comes some of the most exciting new car launches we at Perrys have ever seen.

New cars in 2013 cover almost every angle from efficient city cars and stylish hatchbacks to luxurious SUVs, and there promises to be something for every buyer.

Just take a look at these exciting new cars for 2013 – our pick of the best motors to arrive in Perrys dealerships from January.

Vauxhall Adam

Tiny, fashionable and efficient, the new Vauxhall Adam will be the newest and most exciting competitor for the Fiat 500 to arrive in 2013.

The Vauxhall Adam is a city car with so many customisable features the brand says each model will be unique – in fact there are over one million different configurations of the Adam.

This includes contrasting roof and body colour, interior trim and even LED ‘starlight’ roof lining for the attractive small car.

Vauxhall has added its usual efficient engines to the mix as well, offering only petrol engines including road tax-free levels of emissions in the least powerful.

The Vauxhall Adam is premium, attractive and affordable with prices starting from around £11,000.

2013 Renault Clio

The Renault Clio is one of the UK’s most popular cars having been around since the early 1990s. Famous for its incredibly popular Nicole and Papa adverts, the Clio is the chic French supermini that turns heads on the road.

The new-look 2013 Renault Clio looks even better than ever with a new front end lifted from the stunning DeZir supercar concept.

This means an elongated grille, aggressive headlamps and a sweeping roofline. It could be the best-looking small car on the market and an increase in size means more space for five in the back.

Throw in exciting new equipment and the new Renault Clio is a real winner. It comes with Renault’s iPad-style R-Link system that uses a touch screen to manage entertainment, satellite navigation and other technology.

The fourth generation of the new Renault Clio starts from £10,595 and the pick of the engines will be a three-cylinder petrol that will offer sub-100g/km of CO2 emissions and will be road tax-free – not to mention low insurance rates predicted by insurance experts.

2013 Ford Fiesta

The new Renault Clio may have eyes at the top of its class but the current best small car in the UK is the Ford Fiesta – and it is about to be improved once again.

The new 2013 Ford Fiesta also gets a style makeover with a new-look front end featuring the large grille set to also appear on the new Ford Mondeo.

Like the Renault, it also gets a three-cylinder petrol engine with road tax-free levels of emissions and a technology overhaul.

The new Ford Fiesta will come with Ford’s superb SYNC technology, which uses voice control to operate music, sat-nav and other systems. It even comes with an emergency call feature in the event of an accident.

The new Ford Fiesta will cost from around £10,000 and promises to retain the car’s title as best-selling UK car since 2008.

Fiat 500L

While Fiat faces competition from the Vauxhall Adam, it is also attempting to take on some big names itself, most notably that of Mini.

The Fiat 500 L is a car that has all the charm of the smaller 500L but has been expanded to fit in five people in comfort.

It’s bigger, more family-oriented and as fashionable as ever. The 500L even has its own coffee maker installed and a sound system from Beats by Dre.

Priced from £15,000 and available with two petrol and two diesel engines, the new Fiat 500L is one of the most exciting cars set to arrive in the UK.

It is certainly the best-looking compact MPV on the market and comes with a five-star safety rating. The Fiat 500L is the second in the 500 range and the model that is perfect for families.

Jaguar F-Type

Not just the most exciting car of 2013 but possibly the decade; this is the new Jaguar F-Type, a stunning sports car that represents a return to the area where Jaguar built its name.

The luxury two-seat F-Type, available in coupe or convertible variation, has been touted by many as the spiritual successor to the Jaguar E-Type of the 1950s.

Fitted with a powerful 3.0-litre V6 engine delivering 340bhp or a more powerful 380bhp version, the Jaguar F-Type can reach 60mph from standing in less than five seconds.

There will also be a stunning 5.0-litre V8 S version returning a massive 495bhp for speed fans.

The Jaguar F-Type is a sleek, low-slung sports cars in every sense and is sure to win several awards next year – even with a price of £60,000.

Range Rover

The new Range Rover is a luxury leviathan of an SUV that will sit proudly at the top of the premium SUV category.

The new Range Rover is packed full of technology, ultra-luxurious materials and, as expected from the sub-brand, superb off-road performance.

It represents the height of opulence in the SUV market – all for an extravagant price of £70,000 for entry-level models.

Using a 4.4-litre V8 engine at the top of the range, emissions are cut from 253g/km to 229g/km of CO2. However, a 3.0-litre V6 diesel is even greener with emissions of just 196g/km and fuel economy of 37.7mpg.

There will also be a 5.0-litre supercharged model coming in at around £100,000 for those who want a mixture of power and luxury.
