Land Rover Freelander goes Black and White

The model is on sale now priced from £22,495 but customers will likely have to act fast as it is limited to just 600 units available in total.

The special edition SUV is based on the basic S trim Freelander. It introduces some styling changes including a new gloss black finish for the front grille, body vents and door handles. The Freelander Black and White also adds LED running lights, tinted black privacy glass and 17″ alloy wheels.

The bodyshell itself can be finished in two paint colours, appropriately enough named Santorini Black and Fuji White.

Inside the Freelander Black and White the SUV’s interior is now finished in black cloth upholstery. Standard equipment on the special edition includes Bluetooth, a DAB digital radio and air conditioning.

Engine options for the Freelander Black and White are the same you get for the standard S models, which means buyers get a choice between a 148bhp 2.2-litre eD4 diesel and a 2.2-litre TD4 turbodiesel with an equal amount of power.

The eD4 diesel is connected to a two-wheel drive drive powertrain and six-speed manual gearbox and returns 47.1mpg, with CO2 emissions recorded at 158g/km.

The TD4 turbodiesel meanwhile is utilised on a four-wheel drive system for the Freelander, it also works with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard or an optional automatic gearbox. With the manual, the TD4 Freelander returns 45.6mpg and emits 165g/km in CO2. Both diesel engines feature stop-start engine technology as standard.

The 2013 Land Rover Freelander range including Black and White special editions are available from Perrys Land Rover Dealerships based in Halifax and Huddersfield.
