Kia has more than 3,000 independent customer reviews on its website, and plans to use them to their fullest to enhance the public perception of the Kia brand.
The television campaign starts today, and will be complemented by digital, outdoor, press and cinematic efforts. The campaign will also highlight awards the manufacturer won from independent consumer body Which? last year, including ‘Best Car Manufacturer of 2012’.
The campaign’s tagline is ‘Cars which speak for themselves, customers who speak for us’. It will also feature an animated keyboard as a metaphor for online consumer interaction.
Kia will be the first manufacturer to publish consumer reviews from genuine owner in a bid to make itself fully-accountable with customers. Kia will also be partnering with independent third-party review site Reevoo.
Lawrence Hamilton, Marketing Director at Kia Motors UK Ltd., said “After speaking with consumers, it became very clear how important customer advocacy and peer-to-peer recommendations have become, especially for big-ticket items with longer purchase cycles.
“Our pioneering seven year warranty is an expression of confidence in the quality of all out new range of cars, but we know what we say as a brand is far less convincing and compelling than what real owners say.
“So, we made it easier for customers to really get to know what owning a Kia is like in real words from real people”
Kia has won a number of new fans thanks to models such as the Sportage, Rio and Cee’d. A new version of the Kia Carens will be available this coming year, with prices to be announced closer to its launch.
