The Ranger collected the International Pick-Up Award 2013 with the judges praising the model’s on-and off-road prowess its strong range of engines, its impressive payload and towing capability and its safety features.
All members of the judging panel made the Ford Ranger their number-one choice after extensive testing at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.
The Ford Ranger amassed an incredible 47 points during testing – more than the second and third-placed vehicles combined.

Three versatile cab bodystyles are available for the Ranger; Double, Super and Regular. Buyers also have the choice of two powerful and economical Duratorq TDCi engines with either 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrains.
The Ford Ranger offers some of the roomiest cabs in its class and has a number of driver assistance features available. The Ranger also comes with a five-star Euro NCAP rating – the first vehicle of its kind to achieve the award.
Ford has also achieved international recognition for other models and its EcoBoost technology. The new Transit Custom has been named International Van of the Year 2013 while the manufacturer’s 1-litre EcoBoost engine has been named 2012 International Engine of the Year.
