The stylish new supermini will renew its rivalries with the biggest competitors on the market, which include the likes of the Vauxhall Corsa and the Ford Fiesta.
The 2013 Renault Clio will start pricing at a competitive £10,595, and ranges up to £16,095. This pricing does not include the RenaultSport 200 hot hatch specification however. The price for that particular model will be revealed in February 2013, before it eventually launches during the summer that year.
Four trim levels will be sold for the regular Renault Clio hatchback, starting with the basic Expression trim. Further up the range are other trims including Expression+, Dynamique MediaNav, and finally Dynamique S MediaNav. Renault predicts the Dynamique MediaNav trim will be the Clio’s highest seller.
The standard Expression trim Clio comes with just one engine option, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with around 75bhp, it officially averages 51.4mpg and emits 127g/km in CO2.
Step up to the higher trim levels however and customers will also get the choice of two extra engines, both are 0.9-litre units but one is a petrol unit while the other is a diesel.
Both engines feature stop-start engine technology as standard for fuel saving. In the Expression+ or Dynamique MediaNav trim, the 2013 Clio with either of the two new engines can also add an ECO driving function, which is activated by the driver and alters the car’s performance to improve fuel economy by around 10 to 15 per cent.
Standard equipment on the 2013 Renault Clio will include Bluetooth, Hill Start Assist, and a media infotainment system with a 7″ touchscreen.
The 2013 Renault Clio will be available to order next month from Perrys Renault Dealerships located in Aylesbury.
