That’s better than Seat UK’s previous record sales month in March 2011. The year-to-date is also a record for registrations, with the manufacturer on course for a record year in overall sales and in terms of market share.
7,739 Seats were registered in September 2012, giving the company a market share of 2.15 per cent according to official industry figures. March 2011 saw 7,251 cars registered – a market share of 1.98 per cent.
Seat has announced a number of new models which the company hopes will give it consistency, and a bright start to the New Year. The new Seat Leon will be available from 1 March 2013, while the new Seat Toledo hatchback will be in dealerships from 1 December 2012.
“We’re absolutely delighted with the news that September was a record month for us – though not entirely surprised,” said SEAT UK Director Peter Wyhinny.
“Our range of cars has never been broader, every one mixing bold, Spanish design flair with outstanding value and practicality, so offering something for everyone – from the stunning Mii city car, right up to the multi-award winning Alhambra MPV.”
The Seat Mii, a small city car in the supermini class, has been one of the key factors in Seat’s increasing popularity. The car’s advanced technology and low emissions has been popular with people looking for an affordable, spacious urban car.
The Seat Mii is also available in both three and five-door versions. The Seat Portable System included in the car features satellite navigation, Bluetooth and more. The Seat Mii also features an onboard computer and a CD player.
Prices for the new Seat Mii start from £7,845.
The Seat Mii and the manufacturer’s other models are available from Perrys Aylesbury Seat dealership.
