The C4-based people carrier is one of the older models in the Citroen range but after the launch of the new Citroen C4 last year, the brand is now targeting the larger model in the range.
The French manufacturer has recently started a tie-up with the American car company General Motors, which will lead to the launch of all-new replacements for current MPVs owned by GM or under the PSA Peugeot-Citroen partnership.
Accoring to a report from Autocar, the reworked version of the latest Citroen C4 Picasso will likely be revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March, before going on sale later in the year.
The new Picasso will share the same build platform as other Citroen models including the C4 hatchback and the DS4.
The majority of the Picasso’s interior features are expected to be carried over to the new model. However the exterior styling will be overhauled, particularly at the front, and it will likely to take inspiration from Citroen’s current and fashionable DS range.
The 2013 updates are anticipated to arrive for both the five-seater C4 Picasso and seven-seater C4 Grand Picasso.
The current Citroen C4 Picasso is still available for purchase from Perrys Citroen Dealerships located in Barnsley, Huddersfield and Milton Keynes.
Prices for the Citroen C4 Picasso range begin from £14,996 or £16,162 for the C4 Grand Picasso.
