Test drives open for Dacia Duster

The upcoming model can be sampled at selected dealerships across Britain, including Perrys Dacia Dealership located in Aylesbury.

This new model comes from Renault’s latest budget brand, which has already enjoyed sales success in other markets across Europe.

The five-door Dacia Duster has been available to order at Perrys since June 28 this year, the same month the Dacia brand officially launched in the UK. The first deliveries of the affordable SUV will arrive in January 2013.

Potential customers still have the chance to view the Dacia Duster at Perrys Aylesbury dealership, before trying it out and placing their own order on the 4×4.

With a starting price of £10,000, the Dacia Duster is one of the most affordable SUVs to reach the UK market, proving nearly as cheap as some of the UK market’s most popular superminis today, like the Ford Fiesta or the Vauxhall Corsa.

In return the Duster offers a warranty of three years standard, or five or seven years for an extra £395 or £850 respectively. The SUV also offers a practical maximum load capacity of 1,636 litres with the rear seats folded.

The Dacia Duster is configured with a two or four-wheel drive powertrain, models with the latter start from £12,500. Trim levels start with the standard Access specification, which is followed by Ambiance and Laureate.

The Laureate trim adds some luxury equipment to the Duster, including air conditioning, alloy wheels and heated mirrors.

Engine options include a 105bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine, used only on the Access trim, while the next trim levels feature a 109bhp 1.5-litre diesel unit. In two-wheel drive the diesel-powered Duster officially returns 56mpg and emits 130g/km in CO2.
