Now according to a report from Autocar, order books for the Vauxhall Adam will open on the day the car first appears in Paris.
Prices for the Adam are also set to be confirmed in Paris, the car is estimated to start from just over £11,000. First orders of the Adam will arrive during early 2013.
The Vauxhall Adam is a premium cit car, that’s set to rival against similar and popular hatchbacks including the Fiat 500 and the Citroen DS3.
Three trim levels will be sold for the Adam, starting with Jam and followed by Glam and Slam. Even the most basic trim level Vauxhall Adam will feature more premium-like styling both for the exterior and interior, along with a huge range of colour customisation options.
Engine options will comprise of three ecoFlex petrol engines, including a 69bhp 1.2-litre unit and a 1.4-litre unit offering 86bhp or 99bhp.
About a year after its initial launch the Adam will also offer an extra-frugal 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. For now there are no diesel engines planned for the Vauxhall Adam.
Each petrol engine that is available however will include stop-start technology and a five-speed manual gearbox as standard.
The Adam’s equipment list will include a media infotainment system with a touch screen, smartphone and internet support.
The Vauxhall Adam will be available to order at selected Perrys Vauxhall dealerships.
