Land Rover is slowly getting used to basking in sales success as the British brand continues to rack up improving sales figures in 2012.
In June this year, Land Rover celebrated a 46 per cent rise in sales compared to June last year, leaving Land Rover with the proverbial thought of, ‘can this get any better’?
Well, evidently it can. Its recent sales success in July last month saw a massive 63 per cent rise compared to July 2011, bringing its year-to-date sales tally to 29,511, which is a 34 per cent rise on last year.
As it tallied a sales figure of 3,436 units in July, it seems Land Rover’s Range Rover Evoque model is still reeling in customers, although technically these sales would have been from around 6 months ago due to vast demand for the model.
The compact SUV has been the cornerstone model for Land Rover as its unique style, combined with a frugal powertrain, has put it on the radar of many different SUV buyers.
However, it hasn’t been a lone success story by the Evoque as the Land Rover Freelander 2 has been a massive part of recent achievements.
The Land Rover Freelander 2 has recently gained a new appeal with a two-wheel-drive variant available in its range, plus a new 2.2-litre diesel engine, which has ultimately lowered its starting price tag to just £22,700.
Although the Evoque has stolen the limelight with its new stylish appeal, the Freelander 2 remains the top seller for Land Rover.
Range Rover Evoque prices start from just £27,995.
Land Rover vehicles are available from Rocar Moores and Copley dealerships.
