It may not be the luxury limousine footballers are accustomed too but the Vauxhall Movano, decked out in bright orange livery, was a fitting choice to take Luton Town footballers to the launch of the new away kit.
Not only was the kit a matching orange, but the launch took place at a new hotel, the Ramada Encore, at Luton Airport – not far from the site of the Vauxhall van factory in Luton.
Vauxhall currently builds the Vivaro van at Luton alongside its sister van, the Renault Trafic, and was recently chosen to produce the new Vauxhall Vivaro from 2013.
As a keen supporter of its local club, Vauxhall’s bright orange Movano was designed to showcase the Luton away kit, which has splashes of orange across it.
“There was a real buzz from the crowd as the players stepped out and the bright orange backdrop showed off the smart navy kit very well,” said Cherie Denton, Community Relations Co-ordinator for Vauxhall.
The Vauxhall Movano was an ideal choice to transport the players. The largest van in the Movano range boasts rear and side doors for easy access and, depending on the length chosen, can carry loads up to 4.38 metres in length.
The new Movano van comes with three lengths, three gross vehicle weights, three engine options and two heights.
The versatile large van also comes with the option of a range of body styles including panel van, tipper van, dropside van, doublecab van and crew cab, as well as a minibus option.
New Vauxhall Movano van prices start from £22,043 for the entry-level model at Perrys Vauxhall van dealerships.
