Nectar, in association with Ford, has a competition running today where Twitter users can get their hands on a new Ford Ka by sending a tweet with the hashtag #dailydealhunt.
As part of Nectar’s daily deals, the company has a live map on its website that updates every few seconds, with a circle hovering over a map of London. Every tweet that mentions #dailydealhunt will make the map zoom in closer to the location of the Ford Ka, and the password to unlock it.
Nectar says there’s no limit to the amount of tweets people can send, and advise hunters to keep their smartphones and tablets with them at all times for the best chance of finding the Ka. When enough people have tweeted, the location will be revealed on the map.
A Nectar ambassador will be at the location with a QR code, which when scanned, will take people to the website. The first person to do so will get a brand new Ford Ka as soon as they hand over their pound coin.
A new Ford Ka is available from £8,725 on-the-road including VAT, and is still one of Ford’s most popular models in the UK, despite being released in 1996. It’s one of Ford’s top-selling models so far in the UK this year alongside the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus.
The Ford Ka can be purchased from Perrys Ford dealerships.
