The new Adam city car is a new chapter in the Vauxhall story as its compact and stylish exterior is matched with a plethora of customisable qualities, which usually feature on higher-end luxury cars.
From the outside the Vauxhall Adam offers a range of different colour contrasting options with a choice of two different roof colours. Its exterior also offers sporty styling as its contour lines on its bonnet and flanks echo a ‘boy racer’ appeal.
The Adam is available with three trim levels from launch: Jam, Glam and Slam.
Inside is where the Adam shines as it offers high-tech features like GPS navigation with a seven-inch touch screen display, an infotainment system with smart phone connectivity and a new state of the art Advanced Park Assist II system (APA II).
This system uses ultrasonic sensors to map out a parking spot and automatically park your car for you, with the driver only needing to control the clutch, gears and brake. This new system is matched with Side Blind Spot Alert (SBSA).
The Adam is available with three different ecoFLEX petrol engines, all of which are fitted with frugal start/stop technology. These include a 69bhp 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre, which comes with both 86bhp and 99bhp power outputs.
Full pricing and specification details will be announced upon its official premiere at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The Vauxhall Adam is reaching UK showrooms in January 2013.
Vauxhall vehicles are available from Perry’s Vauxhall dealerships.
