Chevrolet has made quite the name for itself in the last six months or so with its fanatical promotion events for its Aveo supermini.
At this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Chevy will be acting up once again as they prepare to abseil the Aveo down the side of a building. Some visitors will also get chance to drive some of Chevy’s models, including the Volt, Camaro and the adrenaline driven Aveo.
Judging on how past events have unfolded with the Aveo, it isn’t a case of what wacky stunt Chevrolet will do next, but what won’t they do.
The Chevrolet Aveo has already took part in a skydive, a corkscrew jump and a bungee jump from ten storeys high, so this new endeavour fits right in with the fun-to-drive Aveo attitude.
Rebecca Lawman, head of marketing, Chevrolet UK and Ireland, said:
“This year Chevrolet has a whole host of exciting activities, displays and events for visitors to enjoy whether you are an adrenaline junkie, a petrol head or a future Chevrolet owner, so we are really looking forward to an action-packed weekend that will provide fun for everyone!”
The promotion of the Aveo, in all of its crazy glory, is partially to do with its style and attractiveness the supermini has to younger drivers, with its low £9,995 price tag and the option of a frugal 1.3-litre diesel that emits just 95g/km.
The Aveo also comes with sporty standard specification as it offers a muscular body shape, a stylish rear spoiler and 15″ alloy wheels.
The 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking part from 29th June to 3rd July.
