2012 Vauxhall Astra gets new face at old prices

The Astra is arguably Vauxhall’s most popular model, appearing regularly in the UK top five best-sellers, and is renowned for its affordability and practicality.

In the May sales figures the Vauxhall Astra was one of the top five sellers in the entire UK market as it sold 5,433 units, in May alone, proving the family hatchback is still a desirable car that the people love.

When a car this popular is upgraded, the price usually gets bumped up. That’s not the case with the new Astra hatchback as it retains its £12,995 price tag.

Both the hatchback and estate body styles have been upgraded and gain a new stylish front end that includes a revised grille, repositioned logo-bar, new front indicator lamps and fog lamps plus a new restyled rear-panel that features chrome moulding.

They also come with a range of new option packs. The Astra hatchback offers a Driver Assistance Safety package that includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Following Distance Indicator, all for just £750.

These features will add to the already generous standard specification of the Astra hatchback, which include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), CD player with MP3 compatibility and air conditioning.

Astra Sport Tourer packages include a Winter Pack, which adds a heated steering wheel and seats for £345, and LED daytime running lights for £145.

The new Vauxhall Astra is available to order now with deliveries starting in September.

Vauxhall vehicles are available from Perrys Vauxhall dealerships such as Perrys Vauxhall of Aylesbury, Perrys Vauxhall of Huddersfield and Perrys Vauxhall of Preston.
