Available to order now, the sportier five-door hatchback has appeared for the first time in the UK this week at MotorExpo in London.
Kia hopes the new Kia Cee’d will boost sales of the Korean brand further in the country after it recorded its best ever month in the UK in May.
Cars such as the new Kia Picanto city car, new Kia Rio supermini and the Kia Sportage crossover have proved popular with UK buyers thanks to low prices, attractive design and reliability backed up by a seven-year warranty on all new Kia cars.
Michael Cole, Managing Director of Kia Motors (UK) Limited said: “To post a new record May as we were getting ready to replace Cee’d with the all-new model was particularly pleasing and it shows that our dealers are continuing to pull lots of new customers into the brand.
“I am very hopeful that with the launch of the new cee’d this performance will continue so that we can reach our sales goal for this year of up to 65,000 vehicles.”
The new Kia Cee’d is priced from £11,000 in the UK and comes with a choice of three trim levels; ‘1’, ‘2’ and ‘3’.
All Kia Cee’d models come with a 100,000-mile warranty valid for up to seven years. The warranty is also transferable to a second owner if the car is sold within that period.
The new Kia Cee’d is available to order now from Perrys Kia dealerships in Burnley, Preston and Rotherham.
In May, Kia sold over 5,000 cars and increased its market share to 3.19 per cent. So far in 2012, Kia has sold 27,507 new cars to UK drivers.
