Range Rover Evoque wins diesel award

Range Rover’s baby Evoque was only released in September 2011 and has already established itself as one of the most popular and lucrative crossovers on the market, selling out of it first 3,000 models almost instantly.

With these two new accolades the Evoque takes its worldwide awards tally to 122. The Evoque has gained its worldwide popularity through SUV road capabilities, premium interior and its stylish exterior, which features a colour contrasting roof and coupe roofline.

Ian Robertson, Diesel Car Magazine editor, said: “Already an icon, the Evoque combines stunning design and brilliant engineering to great effect.”

Inside the Evoque there is an array of comfort and media features, including climate control, HDD Premium navigation system, smart illuminations and leather upholstery.

In addition to its overall style and driving abilities the Evoque offers a frugal 2.2-litre eD4 diesel powertrain that emits just 129g/km, the lowest emissions of any Land Rover vehicle. The engine also offers power outputs of 150bhp and 190bhp.

As well as the new Range Rover Evoque collecting yet another award, the Land Rover Discovery 4 has continued to impress as it was awarded the ‘Best 4×4 Award’.

This is the third year in a row the Discovery 4 has been awarded ‘Best 4×4’, with the closest model to beating it being the Evoque.

Land Rover vehicles are available from Perrys Halifax and Huddersfield dealerships.
