Fiat launches 500C ad campaign

The Fiat 500C is the soft-top version of the multi award-winning city car and comes with an electric folding roof on top of the standard specification.

It also comes with Fiat’s new TwinAir engine, a two-cylinder petrol engine that was the first petrol engine in the UK to qualify for zero road tax and exemption from the London congestion charge.

The Fiat 500C TwinAir comes delivers 68.9mpg from the 85bhp engine. The car comes with a top speed of 108mph and a 0-62mph time of 11 seconds.

The engine was introduced to the Fiat 500 hatchback range in 2011 to sit alongside the road tax-free diesel MultiJet engines currently available in the range.

Fiat has launched a new campaign describing the Fiat 500C as ideal for summer, saying: “We’ve taken everything that’s great about the 500 – the glamour, the style, the state-of-the-art technology – and added an electric soft top.”

Fiat 500C prices start from £12,960 on-the-road. The four-seat convertible comes in three trim levels; Pop, Lounge and range-topping TwinAir.

The Fiat 500C also comes with a Fiat 500CbyGucci special edition decked out in Gucci’s famous stripes and including unique interior and badges.

The new Fiat 500C is the second model in the Fiat 500 range after the initial launch of the Fiat 500 three-door hatchback.

A further two new Fiat 500 models are planned in the shape of the larger Fiat 500L, a five-seat compact people carrier, and a longer, seven-seat version.

The two new Fiat 500 cars are expected to go on sale in the UK Fiat dealerships early in 2013 after a concept of the Fiat 500L was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year.
