Peugeot’s new take on a Ford Fiesta competitor has been widely praised by the UK motoring press for its sleek new design, low running costs and driving characteristics and Perrys Motors customers can get a sneak preview before it officially arrives in the UK.
The preview event will take place at Perrys Peugeot of Nelson on 23 April, Perrys Peugeot of Blackburn on 26 April and Perrys Peugeot of Bolton on 27 April.
Details of the three- and five-door hatchback are being kept under wraps by Peugeot until the summer but customers can contact the dealership to book a preview of the car before it arrives in showrooms.
Lighter, more aerodynamic and with more room than the Peugeot 207, the new Peugeot 208 comes with an all-new front end, new rear lights and a more sculpted, stylish design.
It will also deliver CO2 emissions of just 87g/km in its best-performing diesel – 34g/km less than the Peugeot 207 and enough to qualify for zero road tax in the UK.
Out of the five engines available with the new Peugeot 208, four will include fuel-saving stop-start technology, according to Peugeot, with fuel economy up to 83.1mpg in the greenest model.
Peugeot says the new 208 will ‘recreate an icon’ when it arrives in the UK and it represents an impressive new competitor to market-leaders such as the Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa.
New Peugeot 208 prices and the new Peugeot 208 launch date has not been announced but buyers can get a look at the interior and driving dynamics of the new model this month.
