The Renault Fluence ZE, the most affordable four-seat electric car to go on sale in the UK priced from just £17,000 before battery leasing costs, will be at Regent’s Park on Friday.
The car will be appearing alongside the new Renault Kangoo ZE van at the event, which is being filmed to promote electric motoring in Camden.
London Borough of Camden Sustainability Officer Katie Watson, who has organised the event, said: “This is a one-off promotional event to give everyone the opportunity to discover the benefits of electric vehicles for themselves. Many of those taking part will never have driven an electric vehicle and I am sure they will be impressed.”
To drive the four-seat Fluence ZE drivers need to have had not convictions in the past three years, never had a motoring insurance proposal declined and held a full driving license for at least 12 months.
All test drivers must also be over the age of 20 to get behind the wheel of the Fluence, the family car with a range of 110 miles on a single electric charge.
As an electric car, the Fluence can be charged via a standard household charging socket or via a fast charger and a full charge takes six to eight hours.
