Ford gives away Focus in Facebook competition

With over 30,000 entries in the first 48 hours, the chance to win the five-door hatchback, launched in 2011, was a popular one for Ford fans, according to the manufacturer.

The ‘Win a Car’ competition was featured on Ford’s recently launched UK Facebook page and saw Christopher King from Lincoln win a brand new Ford Focus.

The Facebook page only launched last November and has since seen more than 70,000 Facebook users become fans.

When collecting his new car Mr King said: “When I got the email saying I had won, I could not believe it! And here I am collecting a smart new Ford Focus. I feel like I have won the lottery!”

Mr King chose the 1.6-litre (148bhp) EcoBoost model; along with the top of the range Titanium X trim level. This particular model includes a leather interior, Ford Driver Assistance Pack, DAB digital radio and air conditioning.

The 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine sits alongside a frugal 1.0-litre EcoBoost in the Focus range, which has impressively low emissions of just 109g/km.

The Ford Focus is an increasingly popular hatchback that is at the forefront of the American manufacturer’s sales. Along with models like the Ford Fiesta, Ford achieved total sales last year of 265,894.

The new Ford Focus was initially launched as a hatchback model but an estate version has also joined the range along with a new Ford Focus ST version, which offers more performance and sportier features.

Ford vehicles are available from Perrys Ford of Aylesbury and Ford of High Wycombe dealerships.
