With Ford already having a remarkable track record for van awards, particularly with its Transit model, it’s no surprise that it has once again collected an array of accolades.
From its Transit van to its Ranger pickup, Ford claimed five different awards, including ‘Highly Commended Small Van’ for its Ford Fiesta Van.
Another award claimed by Ford was the ‘Best pick-up’ for its Ranger model. The Ranger is a relatively new model and was only introduced to the market in November 2011, but it has nevertheless earned itself an award for its versatility and off-road abilities.
Ford of Britain commercial vehicles director, Steve Clary, said: “Vans A2Z have presented us with the first UK award for all-new Ford Ranger. We know from media reports that it is making a great impression with its on- and off-road capabilities. This award from an independent website is another great endorsement.”
Out of the five awards won by Ford vans, the new Ford Transit claimed three of them. Other Transit awards included ‘Best Small Panel Van’ and ‘Van of the Year’.
The fact that the Transit led the other Ford vans into the awards by winning the majority of accolades, and overall van of the year, proves that Ford’s classic Transit van is still at large.
This is also supported by the Ford Transit’s sales, which reveal it has been the best selling van for 46 years in a row.
Ford vans are available from Perrys Ford of Aylesbury and High Wycombe dealerships.
