Fiat introduces 70 custom options for new Panda

The list includes body graphics, in-car accessories and practical additions such as roof bars and even ski carriers and all will be available to owners of the new Fiat Panda.

The new 2012 Fiat Panda launch date has been set for 1 April in the UK and the spacious city car has received an updated design, new frugal engines and lower prices.

Starting from just £8,000 in the UK, the new Fiat Panda will give owners the option to bump up the level of specification in one of three areas; customisation, utility and comfort.

Customisation options include paint colours, body graphics, wheel colours and key colours, while comfort options offer more practicality in the shape of roof bars, folding rear seats, a cargo box and ski, windsurf or kayak carriers.

Finally, utility options include Bluetooth, steering controls and satellite navigation, according to the extensive list of options.

According to Fiat: “The range of customisation ideas for the new Panda includes more than 70 products to choose from designed to increase comfort, increase enjoyment of leisure activities and improve the quality of life on board for all customers, even the most demanding.”

The Fiat Panda has been completely revamped for 2012 including a new, softer design language and the use of Fiat’s award-winning engines.

These include MultiJet diesels, MultiAir petrol engines and the groundbreaking Fiat TwinAir petrol, a tiny two-cylinder petrol engine delivering road tax-free levels of CO2 emissions and diesel-like fuel economy.

The Fiat Panda, despite its city car size, is designed as a more spacious alternative to the stylish Fiat 500 city car in Fiat’s small car range.

The first new Fiat Panda cars will arrive in Fiat UK dealerships in April.
