An action-packed launch weekend will take place at Perrys Fiat dealerships on 10th March but some customers will be able to test drive the stylish, spacious city car early.
Letters have been sent out to Fiat Panda drivers inviting them for an exclusive preview of the hatchback on Thursday 8th March at an Italian-themed event which includes Italian nibbles and even a Super Mario Kart tournament on the Nintendo Wii.
The new Fiat Panda is only the third generation of the long-running city car, but the Italian manufacturer has updated the design to look more modern with softer lines replacing the sharp corners of the previous version.
It also comes with more equipment and upmarket interiors along with a choice of frugal engines taken from the smaller Fiat 500 city car.
These include the new TwinAir petrol engine which, for the first time on a Fiat Panda, delivers free road tax and exemption from the London congestion charge.
It also comes with road tax-free diesel options and even a 4×4 model to match its taller, more practical design compared to other small cars.
The Fiat Panda comes with optional roof rails and a more spacious boot (maximum 870-litre capacity) and the raised roof height gives rear passengers more headroom.
Fiat has also upgraded safety on the Fiat Panda and is confident it will meet five-star safety criteria when it is tested.
Fiat Panda prices start from under £9,000 in the UK and it is the most affordable car in the Fiat range, sitting below the Fiat 500 in terms of price.
