The Alhambra, launched in 2010, has been named CarBuyer Best MPV at its annual awards, beating competition from the likes of the Vauxhall Zafira and the Ford Galaxy to the top prize.
Having already won the Best MPV award from WhatCar?, the latest title shows the Seat Alhambra has the space, quality and equipment to be the best on offer, according to CarBuyer.
“With enough space for fully-grown adults in each of its seven seats, very few rivals can match the Alhambra for space. Excellent build quality, generous standard equipment (even entry-level cars feature three-zone climate control and parking sensors) and attractive pricing all put it at the head of the MPV pack.”
The Seat Alhambra was described as being ideal for school runs and family holidays, a fact which has landed it the top MPV title for the second year in a row in the awards.
The new Seat Alhambra was introduced towards the end of 2010 in the UK with a choice of three trim levels; S, SE and SE Lux.
Standard equipment on the Alhambra includes Bluetooth, climate control and parking sensors. All models come with sliding side doors.
Higher specification Alhambra models offer a host of equipment ranging from cruise control to black leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.
A choice of 1.4-litre petrol (with an optional automatic gearbox) and a 2.0-litre diesel engine in 115PS, 140PS and 170PS are offered with the Alhambra.
The least powerful diesel delivers 50.4mpg on the combined cycle, a figure more often associated with small family hatchbacks. The diesel also edges under 150g/km of CO2 emissions.
New, award-winning Seat Alhambra prices start from £23,525. You can view or test drive a Seat Alhambra at Perrys Seat of Aylesbury.
