Vauxhall has fixed the price of repairs to brake pads, brake discs, clutches, cambelts and shock absorbers to help customers understand exactly how much they will be paying at Vauxhall service centres.
The fixed prices apply to a range of new and used Vauxhall cars including the best-selling Vauxhall Corsa and Vauxhall Astra.
Prices for items such as front or rear brake pads for the Vauxhall cars cost just £99 including VAT and labour, while other replacements such as new cambelts cost £199.
The most expensive fixed cost repair is for a clutch on the large Vauxhall Zafira MPV which costs a set price of £599.
Vauxhall service manager Belinda Craik said the new series of fixed prices would ‘remove the uncertainty’ drivers may feel when taking their car in to be repaired.
She said: “Vauxhall owners know that the low price they see is what they’ll pay – no added costs, no hidden extras – just great value and the peace of mind of genuine parts fitted by our Vauxhall trained technicians for one simple set price.”
Craik was also quick to highlight Vauxhall’s reliability but says the fixed price will help owners of older Vauxhalls such as the Vectra saloon for parts that succumb to natural wear and tear.
The fixed price at Vauxhall service centres is being offered in conjunction with what is potentially the longest warranty available for any new car on sale in the UK today.
Vauxhall’s 100,000 mile is unlimited in terms of time and could potentially last several years longer than the next longest warranty, Kia’s seven year warranty, if the car does not reach the mileage limit.
