Previously, the world’s most popular two-seat sports car has been kitted out in anniversary trim for a 25th birthday model and several other special editions based around styling and equipment additions.
The latest, the Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition, costs £18,995 on-the-road comes in soft-top convertible and hard-top convertible variations.
The new Venture Edition includes a selection of equipment, interior materials and some new styling touches to create a unique model, says Mazda.
The most noticeable additions include gun metal 17″ alloy wheels, chrome highlights on the front grille and new front fog lights on the outside, which can be grey, ‘ebony’ or white paint.
Inside, brown leather adorns the seats and the steering wheel and is set off by grey stitching. Interior equipment is typically generous with sat-nav (with a 5.8″ touch screen), cruise control, climate control and Bluetooth all included in the standard specification.
The engines are taken from the standard Mazda range and include a 1.8-litre 126PS petrol for the soft-top and a more powerful 2.0-litre, 160PS unit for the hard-top.
Peter Allibon, Sales Director, Mazda UK said: “Special Edition models of the MX-5 have always enjoyed incredible popularity in Britain and now the Venture Edition offers a unique combination of a premium cabin feel, sophisticated exterior and advanced technology, in a sportscar that remains unrivalled as an exhilarating drive that can also be used every day.”
It also brings a touch of exclusivity to the range with only 250 soft-top and 550 hard-top models being sold in the UK.
New Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition Roadster Coupe prices start from £22,285 and Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition soft-top prices start from £18,995 at UK Mazda dealerships.
