Hot on the heels of updates for the Peugeot Partner van, the larger Peugeot Expert will get new engines, a revamped front end and plenty of new equipment.
The 2012 Peugeot Expert van will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March with the first models going on sale midway through the same month.
Peugeot is being coy about the changes for its large van but a new front end including a new take on the bumper, grille and headlamps is obvious from the first images released.
Under the bonnet the Expert will get Euro 5 engines, a name given to those powerplants which meet European emissions criteria and which will become law on all new vans from this year.
A new 2.0-litre diesel engine will lead the way with CO2 emissions of just 168g/km and gearbox choices for the new engine will be expanded with the addition of a six-speed gearbox.
Peugeot has also promised ‘technological equipment not previously seen before in the segment’ but has not revealed what this equipment will be.
Prices for the new van will also be announced at a later date but Peugeot has confirmed the changes will apply to the Expert van and the Combi, or Tepee, MPV version of the van.
The current generation of the Peugeot Expert van has proved popular with UK businesses and was named What Van?’s Small Panel Van of the Year in 2010.
The Peugeot Expert is available in panel van, window van and crew van derivations in the UK. Peugeot Expert van prices start from £20,200 on the road.
Peugeot Expert Tepee prices start from £22,495 on-the-road from Perrys Peugeot dealerships.
