Prices for the new Citroen DS5 range from £22,400 to £32,200 and it is available to order now ahead of its April release.
The new DS5, the third in the premium DS range after the DS3 supermini and DS4 hatchback, is expected to bring in buyers of the age 35 and up, according to the French car maker.
As it is a premium model its three available trim levels, D Sign, D Style and D Sport offer a range of high quality equipment.
Standard features of the entry level D Sign trim include automatic air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry and start and Bluetooth. The mid range D Style trim offers rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, colour satellite navigation with live traffic information and part leather upholstery.
The top of the range D Sport trim includes full leather upholstery, front parking sensors, colour head-up display and heated sport seats. Prices for the three trims start from £22,400, £24,900 and £28,000 respectively.
The DS5 has gained a lot of its popularity because of its Hybrid4 engine which delivers CO2 emissions as low as 99g/km.
This Hybrid4 engine is available on all three trim levels and is one of four available engine derivatives; however the most economical engine that brands sub 100g/km emissions is the Hybrid4 200 Airdream EGS6. Prices for this model start from £27,600.
These sub 100g/km emissions mean the DS5 qualifies for zero road tax and has a low BIK tax rate of just 10 per cent.
Accompanying the Hybrid4 engine are four different operating modes that ensure you are getting the most out of your DS5. For example, the Zev mode allows the car to drive using the electric motor only. Driving modes include Auto, Zev, Sport and four wheel drive.
Citroen vehicles are available from Perry’s Barnsley, Huddersfield and Milton Keynes dealerships.
