Named the best small SUV in 2012, the Evoque was praised for its desirable, ‘concept car’ looks, starting price of just £28,000 and its low running costs.
BusinessCar wrote: “The combination of low CO2, good RVs (residual values), more accessible P11D price and those stand-out looks will give the brand a new business car appeal, a fact proven by this BusinessCar reader-voted award.”
The Evoque is the smallest, greenest Range Rover ever built and even comes with a two-wheel drive option for the first time. In two-wheel drive form with the entry-level diesel engine, the Evoque delivers CO2 emissions of just 130g/km.
For business and fleet drivers, this puts the Evoque in a low band of Benefit-in-Kind tax than any other Range Rover model.
BusinessCar predicts the Evoque will prove most popular in five-door form because of the added practicality of rear doors and the fact it has lower prices than the three-door ‘coupe’ version.
Sales of the new Range Rover Evoque highlight its popularity in the UK. The 2011 allocation sold out before the car arrived in Land Rover dealerships and 2012 models are proving to be just as popular.
Despite its popularity with families and younger buyers because if its impressive design, BusinessCar says the Evoque will ‘launch the brand into the corporate arena like never before’.
The new Range Rover Evoque has previously been named Car of the Year by BBC Top Gear magazine, Stuff magazine and 4×4 of the Year by 4×4 magazine.
The Range Rover Evoque is on sale now in the UK from £28,000 for five-door versions at Land Rover dealerships.
