Seat’s popular Alhambra model has proven why it was awarded the MPV title in 2011 by winning it again for in the 2012 What Car? awards.
The Alhambra is Seat’s seven seat people carrier praised for its practicality, economy and refined driving experience by What Car? judges.
The Seat Alhambra comes with a range of trim levels and engines, starting with the S trim and topping out with the SE Lux trim. With the SE Lux trim customers will benefit from standard features such as black leather upholstery, a panoramic glass sunroof, a rear view camera and satellite navigation.
With the Alhambra’s petrol and diesel range each customer can pick what combination is best for them, whether it’s powerful petrol or an economical diesel returning up to 50mpg.
Seat’s editor-in-chief, Chas Hallett commented on the Alhambra’s second consecutive crown at What Car?: “The Alhambra does what an MPV should: move up to seven adults in comfort. But it adds strong refinement, a keen price and low running costs, with up to 50 mpg.
“It’s a very strong proposition for large families – a worthy MPV category winner, for the second year in a row.”
The What Car? awards have been going for over 30 years now and are renowned for being one of the UK’s most influential motoring honours.
As well as an MPV title What Car? offer a wide range of car segment awards and other accomplishments by manufacturers. For example the Kia Rio won the award for Best Fuel Consumption rating and the Ford Mondeo won Best Family Car.
