To promote its new Twingo model Renault has invited four European artists to create their own personalised Twingo designs. These four artists included celebrity Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud.
These four designs are all unique and reflect different aspects of lifestyle and culture from different nations which include influences from fashion, music, design and cooking.
The line up of artists was made up of UK singer Nicola Roberts, queen of the charts, French fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Italian chef Davide Scabin and Pragmatic German designer, Nils Holger Moormann.
Below are images of the four arty Twingo’s, ranging from the appetising Scabin Pasta Twingo to the music influenced Twingo Goes Pop.
Twingo 55 FBG – Jean-Charles de Castelbajac
This smart edition includes period furniture, candelabras (candle light lighting on the walls of the car) and polished parquet flooring.
This interior goes very nicely with its jet black exterior and white trimmed tyres.
Jean-Charles de Castelbajac said: “Our generation demands a new low-cost luxury. We have to reconcile creativity and democracy. It should be a cast-iron rule for all candidates in the Presidential elections that they have to travel in a Presidential Twingo.”
Twingo Goes Pop – Nicola Roberts
This ‘Goes Pop’ edition is influenced by both music and fashion with things like a recording studio in the rear. Not to mention a coffee machine.
The fashion appeal makes an appearance with a hair dryer and make-up counter
Nicola Roberts said: “In my New Twingo Cabinet of Curiosities, as in my latest album, I have strived to blend my dreams and emotions with my personal, very defined vision of reality.”
Twingo Reading Room – Nils Holger Moormann
This model gives a sense of relaxation, as it is a ‘reading room’. This customised Renault Twingo offers a comfy room that allows you to pick from bookshelf and sit and read while on the go. And it even includes a fireplace.
Nils Holger Moormann said: “With New Twingo Reading Room, I am casting an eye full of hope on the car which is transformed into a personal refuge from which to shelter from the aggression of modern life.”
Scabin Pasta Twingo – Davide Scabin
Like it says in the title, this model actually has pasta, on the seats to be exact. As well as this Italian classic cuisine touch there is also a 3D video inside.
Davide Scabin said: “For me, the car is like cooking. It is a discovery, a movement, a journey to other people. I see New Twingo as a manifesto, an explosion which expresses the essential values of my work. It is the opposite of standing still.”
