New Kia Optima set for 2012 launch

The new Kia Optima will soon be available to buy from Perrys Burnley, Preston and Rotherham dealerships as it nears its 2012 release.

This will be Kia’s first saloon model and is being released in response to its growing population amongst city car and supermini market segments with its Picanto and Rio models respectively.

The new Optima model offers a sporty exterior design reflected in its coupe like roof and streamlined body style.

As the Optima is a saloon interior comfort and luxury is a must have, and it doesn’t disappoint. First off there is plenty of room for both the driver and passengers so journeys can be made in comfort.

The driver’s seat delivers a cock pit like feel as the instrument panels lean in towards the seat, which adds to its smart and sporty appeal. In terms of instrument panels there are plenty useful features offered such as MP3 compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity with steering wheel-mounted voice activation controls.

Other luxury perks include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and chrome door handles. Also, depending on the trim level, a black leather woven seat trim and an LCD instrument display will be offered.

The Kia Optima will also come with two new engines, which includes petrol and diesel. The petrol engine is a 2.0-litre and the diesel is a 1.7-litre. Both engines come with six speed manual and automatic transmissions.

Its 2.0-litre petrol engine is the most powerful in the D-segment range offering an impressive power output of 274hp. A 2.4-litre hybrid powertrain is also in the pipeline.
