The Citroen C3 Black and Citroen C3 White special editions, as the names suggest, come in two new exterior colours.
However, they will also add extra equipment over the current mid-range VT specification while costing £300 less from Citroen dealerships.
The French manufacturer will retire the current 1.4-litre petrol VT Citroen C3 and instead offer the two new special editions.
They will boast all of the specification of the previous model, including safety equipment such as anti-lock braking system (ABS) and four airbags, but add extra gadgets and styling features.
The most noticeable come on the outside, where chrome highlights to the lower front bumper, body painted door hands and front fog lights are added.
The cars also come with 16″ alloy wheel and a white dashboard. Air conditioning has also been added as standard on the five-door hatchbacks.
Both will come with manual transmission and a respectable 47.1mpg fuel economy figure. CO2 emissions stand at 139g/km and will be liable for £115 first year Vehicle Excise Duty.
The special edition C3 White will cost £11,990 – less than the outgoing VT model it replaces. The optional black paint adds another £440 to the starting price, bringing it up to £12,430.
The Citroen C3 was previously available in VT, VTR+ and range-topping Exclusive trim level. Prices for the five-door hatchback start from £11,390 on-the-road.
The new special edition Citroen C3 Black and Citroen C3 White will go on sale in UK Citroen dealerships from 1 January 2012.
