Judges at FleetVan have recognised Ford’s worldwide popularity and awarded the American manufacturer with the overall title, despite not one of its models being picked out as winners in the individual categories that included Small Van of the Year and the 4×4 Truck of the Year prizes.
It’s no surprise that Ford has picked up a van related award as it is, and always has been, a popular choice in terms of vans. For example, the ever popular Ford Transit model has been top of the sales charts for 46 years.
Ford’s is still proving why it’s the best with its November 2011 sales figures. In the eleventh month of the year, the blue oval brand sold 5,969 units in the UK – an increase of 849 from the same time last year.
That’s enough for Ford to claim more than a quarter of the new van market in the UK; an annual sales increase of almost 21 per cent has also helped the company.
These figures prove that Ford has not only topped the charts in terms of van sales, but they have also seen many increases, which suggest that Ford vans are still growing in terms of popularity, too.
Other popular Ford vans include the Fiesta Van and the Transit Connect. However, the Ford Transit is by far the manufacturer’s most popular commercial vehicle.
The Ford Transit has won countless awards over the years including ‘Best minibus’ and ‘Best 4×4’, not to mention its 46 year stretch at the top of the sales chart.
Ford vehicles are available from Perry’s Aylesburyand High Wycombe dealerships.
