Alfa Romeo’s popular Giulietta model’s potential has been recognised by many, one of which is the manufacturer Maserati, which has joined forces with Alfa Romeo to design new limited edition Giulietta models, of which just one hundred models will be made.
However, the new models will not be going on sale. Instead, the special Maserati-themed cars will be used exclusively as courtesy cars for Maserati owners.
Just by looking at the new Giulietta it is clear that there has been focus on making it desirable with things like 18″ alloy wheels, red brake calipers and aluminium dashboard inserts.
Inside the new Giulietta are heated seats, which are upholstered in full grain Venere leather in ‘Maserati Brown’ and can be electronically adjusted, an exclusive ‘Alfa Romeo for Maserati’ plate on the dashboard and an aluminium kick plate with the names “Giulietta” and “Maserati” engraved.
The new model also offers an array of technological features such as bi-xenon headlamps, navigation system with pop-up display, hands-free system with controls on the steering wheel, USB port and Bluetooth, and dual zone automatic climate control.
This new limited edition Giulietta will be fitted with a 1750 Turbo petrol engine which delivers 235hp and 339Nm of torque. This power is thanks to its turbocharger and scavenging system that eliminates turbolag.
The use of the 1750 Turbo petrol engine is in dedication to Alfa Romeo’s sporty Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde model, which is popular for its style and performance qualities. This new engine will also delivers a top speed of 150mph and a 0-62mph capability of 6.8 seconds.
The special edition may not be, but standard Alfa Romeo Giulietta cars are available from Perry’s Amersham dealership from £17,000.
