The awards will be hosted by funny man James Corden, TV personality Kirsty Gallacher and will be a celebration of the best British sport moments that have happened in the last year.
This includes things like Chris Ashton’s try against Australia in November last year and Rory McIlroy’s victory in the US open.
These different sport moments are broken down into many different categories, including:
Jump off the Sofa moment; the Most inspirational British Sportsman of the Year; Most Inspirational British Sportswoman of the Year; British Sporting Performance for an Athlete with a Disability; and British Sporting Performance of the Year.
Nominated sport moments include Wayne Rooney’s overhead kick against Manchester City or the England Cricket team retaining The Ashes in Australia in 2010/2011. Jaguar sponsors the England cricket team.
In light of being asked to host the night, James Corden said: “I am excited to be able to host the second Jaguar Academy of Sport Annual Awards. It will be a great evening and I look forward to celebrating this year’s sporting achievements.”
Jaguar has a strong reputation for stylish sport cars like the Jaguar XF and Jaguar XK, and the manufacturer says the association will promote the Jaguar name and celebrate why it’s great to be British.
