The XF model emerged the winner of the Executive and Luxury category in the What Car? Used car of the year awards.
The Jaguar XF was judged on running costs, reliability, driveability, quality, longevity, safety features and desirability before the judges declared the Jaguar XF a ‘seriously desirable and sophisticated car’.
Chas Hallett, What Car?’s editor-in-chief, said: “The Jaguar XF’s combination of sharp, contemporary styling, build quality, refinement, sporting agility and equipment is a winning formula.”
The Jaguar XF model features a 3.0D turbodiesel engine with a choice of either 240 or 275PS of power and 500 or 600Nm of torque. The 274PS version has a top speed of 155mph and is capable of 0-60mph in just 5.9 seconds. It also offers a surprising 40mpg and combined C02 emissions of 179g/km.
The interior features of the XF include a leather steering wheel with mounted controls, seats with personal customisation qualities such as colour and in-car blue illuminations which give the Jaguar XF a very stylish appeal (especially in the night time).
With a maximum boot space of 540 litres the XF also adds convenience to its comfort and style, say the judges.
Andy Whyman, XF Chief Programme Engineer commented: “We worked tirelessly on the development of the XF for its introduction in 2008. Since then, over 38,000 have been sold in the UK and the momentum continues. To be recognised by What Car? means a great deal to the whole XF team and we’re delighted to add another award to our ever-growing tally.”
The Jaguar XF starts from £30,950 on the road.
