The trust, which helps over a million parents through pregnancy and the early years of parenthood, says the new five-seat Vauxhall Meriva is the ideal car for families in the UK.
To emphasise this, the NCT is taking the car on over 200 events across the country to demonstrate its abilities to parents.
On 15 October, Perrys Vauxhall in Preston will be displaying the new Vauxhall Meriva from 11.30am at Corpus Christi College in Preston at an NCT sale.
Visitors will be able to take a look around the compact MPV and will receive a free goody bag with items such as a nursery rhymes DVD, Peppa Pig crayons, colouring books and other goodies.
The new Vauxhall Meriva is a compact people carrier designed to be ideal for families with young children.
This is down to its Flexdoors system, which include backwards-opening rear doors. When all doors are open, this creates a ‘safe’ load space between the front and rear doors and helps easy loading of children and rear seats.
The extra luggage space is capable of carrying prams and other luggage in the Meriva, says the NCT, making it the ideal family car.
The Vauxhall Meriva comes in four specification levels ranging from the basic £12,495 Expression to the equipment-packed SE specification model.
Engine choices include petrol and diesel options and money-conscious families can specify Vauxhall’s low-CO2 Ecoflex diesel engine in the people carrier.
This will mean CO2 emissions low enough to qualify for first year road tax free and fuel economy of 62.8mpg is one of the highest in the class.
