The Vauxhall Corsa VXR is the brand’s 192bhp performance version, but the introduction of the new Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition adds extra power and performance to the hot hatch.
The 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine has been improved to deliver 205bhp and a new chassis means less understeer, more grip and more responsive handling.
Speed is increased to 143mph (where legal) and the car can reach 60mph from standing in 6.5 seconds, making it the fastest Corsa VXR available today.
Vauxhall has named the special edition after the famous Nurburgring racing circuit where it was tested and promises the best grip in its class.
Although based on the standard Corsa VXR, the special edition adds Nurburgring logos on the door pillars and inside on the sports seats.
A twin exhaust, front spoiler lip, aluminium wheels and a low ride height are all added to the new hot hatch to give it a more track-inspired feel.
Two new body colours, green and red, have been added to the options for the new Nurburgring Edition.
The new Vauxhall Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition costs £22,295 and joins the standard Corsa VXR in the range.
The Vauxhall Corsa VXR range also includes the Vauxhall Corsa VXR Blue, a special edition launched earlier in the year. The Blue Edition adds a new blue exterior colour with 18″ alloy wheels and a revamped interior with blue highlights.
