50 free music downloads at Seat dealerships

Every so often a car manufacturer will go out into the world and make a list about music. From Chevrolet’s list of best songs to test your car’s acoustics to a list of songs with car names in, there seems to be a strong link between getting behind the wheel and turning on some music.

So it was no surprise when we found Spanish car maker Seat’s latest bit of research to find the top 50 songs people in the UK have on their MP3 player.

As usually, the list is a selection of older classics such as the number one song, Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and newer songs from artists such as Lady Gaga.

Seat did this to promote their On Track With TV programme where they ask a singer to record one of their songs with the caveat they will get just one chance to do it.

It also ties in nicely with a music-related offer for those test driving a new Seat car. Everybody who heads down to the Perrys Seat dealership in Aylesbury will be given 50 free music downloads when they test drive a Seat car.

The offer, worth £100 if bought separately, offers some of the world’s best artists’ work free with a test drive.

Finally, if you’re wondering what the most frequent songs on the nation’s iPods are, here are the results of Seat’s survey.
