Named the ‘Ultra Prestige’ edition, the model goes beyond the top-level DSport specification with what Citroen calls ‘all-new manufacturing processes’.
The decoration on the roof is one of those new additions to the DS3. The design itself is based on the DS logo, but a ‘monogramme’ effect is designed to look matt or gloss depending on the light and the angle it is viewed from.
Other additions to the exterior include 17″ charcoal-grey diamond-effect alloy wheels and chrome highlights on the wing mirrors, around the doors and on the front grille.
Inside, there are new mats and sports seats which are white at the top but blend into black at the base in what Citroen calls a ‘crescendo’ effect taken from the world of fashion.
The dashboard is decked out in white leather and leather is also added to the door panels and central arm rest.
Prices have not been announced for the Citroen DS3 Ultra Prestige edition and it is not know if the number of models sold in the UK will be limited.
However, it is expected to go on sale before the end of the year and cost slightly more than standard models in the Citroen DS3 range.
It is also expected to make use of the same petrol and diesel engines available with the Citroen DS3. This means Citroen will choose from three petrol engines with outputs ranging from 95 to 150bhp and two diesel engines with outputs of 90 and 110bhp.
The new Citroen DS3 Ultra Prestige is the latest special edition model in the range. Others include a new Fuschia pink roof version and fashion-inspired Orla Kiely special editions.
