First revealed in March, the top-of-the-range two-seat roadster is now on sale in the UK complete with racing-inspired trim.
The Gordini name is steeped in Renault’s racing history and although the Wind Gordini does not have any performance upgrades – the standard 1.2-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines are available with it – there are several sporty cosmetic additions.
These include the famous Gordini blue body colour and white racing stripes on the bonnet, a nod sign of the historic Gordini stable which competed in the likes of the Le Mans 24 Hours and Formula One in the 1950s.
Gordini badges adorn the side pillars and wheels, where unique 17" alloys and blue detailing add to the sporty feel of the drop-top.
Inside, dark grey leather seats feature the Gordini logo and blue stitching, while the gearstick and gearknob have blue highlights to match the theme.
Each model has a Gordini plaque with a unique number on – only 200 will be sold in the UK – and equipment levels are range-topping.
This includes Bluetooth and USB, climate control and an optional wind deflector to improve comfort when the roof is down.
Like entry-level Dynamique and mid-range GT Line versions, the Renault Wind Gordini features an electric folding roof capable of opening in 12 seconds. The folding mechanism also ensures boot space is not limited when the roof is down.
The Renault Wind Gordini is available now in blue or white and will sit at the top of the range, which was launched last year.
Renault has also lowered the price of entry-level Dynamique versions by £2,215. A Renault Wind Dynamique now costs from £12,995, while GT Line models are priced from £13,895.
