Leigh Hoyte from Buckinghamshire designed a graffiti-style picture using an online painting competition to design a new billboard for Old Street, London.
The competition took place on Facebook and Hoyte’s work was voted the winner out of 10,000 entries to the competition to drive off in a new Vauxhall Corsa.
Hoyte said: "I never thought I would be driving away with a new Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition. I have always had a passion for art and design so I am glad it’s been recognised by some of the most amazing graffiti artists. It will be awesome to see my work displayed on a billboard in such a busy area of London."
Vauxhall asked entrants to design a billboard to showcase the new Vauxhall Corsa, which is aimed at young, urban buyers thanks to a recent styling update which saw it receive a new front end and updated interior and exterior colours.
Vauxhall plans to launch a new Corsa advert with the billboard after using music service Spotify, video website Youtube and Yahoo to support the Corsa campaign.
The success of the online competition has encouraged the brand to focus more attention on the internet in future.
Vauxhall UK’s Marketing Director Peter Hope, said: "We have been overwhelmed with entries for the Corsa Street Style competition with over 10,000 entries received. The British public has a great affection for the Vauxhall Corsa, so we will look to extend our activity with this great car."
Three-door versions of the Vauxhall Corsa start from £9,995 and five-door models start from £12,050. In total, Vauxhall is offering eight trim levels with the Corsa and several new body colours to improve the amount of customisation options for one of the UK’s best-selling cars.
