The website (www.peugeotcompare.co.uk) shows Peugeot’s entire range alongside key figures for business users.
These include the company car tax associated with the vehicle, CO2 emissions – the key emission associated with VED, congestion charge and London’s forthcoming van Low Emissions Zone – and fuel economy.
Peugeot hopes to take advantage of rising fleet sales in the UK through the new website. In April, figures from the Society of Motoring Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show fleet sales now take up more than half of all new car sales in the UK.
Phil Robson, Director, Fleet Sales, Peugeot UK, said: "At a time when we and our competitors offer our customers such a wide choice of models, I think it is important they get to evaluate the merits of our products in a way that suits them."
This is done through adjustable sliders on the website in which the user can specify what costs they are willing to pay. The website will then list the cars and vans that fit the criteria.
The website also showcases some of Peugeot’s new and upcoming models including the Peugeot RCZ coupe and Peugeot 508 saloon and estate.
Forthcoming models are centred around the 3008 crossover, which will be the subject of the first ever mass produced diesel-hybrid powertrain when the 3008 HYbrid4 is released later this year.
Peugeot is urging business users to browse the website before choosing a new fleet or business car.
Robson added: "The ‘PeugeotCompare’ website brings an ease of use solution to an otherwise complicated dilemma. It also shows the strengths of all our products in a more levelled, comparable environment, and I encourage everyone to give it a try."
